Ph.D. Thesis EKPA

There follow the presentations given in the Linguistic Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens to support the author’s thesis on the Minoan Language. This Thesis was completed in 2004 and the subsequent graduation took place in 2005. The presentations are here made available to offer the latest contributions to the present state of knowledge concerning the language of Bronze Age Crete.

The accompanying illustrations graphically and clearly show the position of the Minoan language within the Indo-European family of languages. The completion of the Thesis, after more than a decade of research, was indeed the impetus to produce the present website following the author’s contribution to the DVD “Heraklion, A City Through the Ages”. The aim is to disseminate the results of the research into the Minoan Language.
