Introduction DVD

There follow 8 pages/screens which were contributed to the DVD “Heraklion, A City Through the Ages” (History-Knossos-Script) produced by the Municipality of Heraklion, in collaboration with the Multi-Media Laboratory of the University of Crete. The DVD was awarded the Hellenic MOBIUS 2005 prize for “Culture” and represented Greece in the international competition. 

The author’s following contribution represent the best multimedia Introduction to the Scripts and Languages of Minoan and Mycenaean Crete, and indeed was the impetus to produce the current website following the completion at the same time of the author’s thesis in the Linguistics Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The aim is to disseminate the results of research into the Minoan Language.
